This week on MTN Project Fame Season 8 will be more delightful for viewers and tasking for the contestants. They’ll be performing four songs, a combination of both the final elimination 😦 show and Sunday’s showcase. Throughout this week they have consistently juggled between getting votes and working at their talent; they were at The Beat 99.9 FM on Monday, and there was a Google hangout on Wednesday. The heat is on!

PFAAbout the songs, they have a group performance and Reggae to work on for the Elimination show plus, Movie soundtracks and Vocal reunions(duets & trios a.k.a 7 Tag Teams), scheduled for Sunday.  Yes, after the Reggae comes the blues. Uncle Ben firmly told the contestants that the judges would be watching out for their Interpretation of the songs, Characterization, and ultimately, the fun(how well they stretch) especially Bibie brew and Adebantu who are a lot more in on Reggae tunes; It’s the LOSE Yourself week. “We are the world”, is their group song-pick for this week.

House Captain, Deinde, has got Electric Avenue by Eggy Grant (for Reggae) and Can you feel the Love tonight by Elton John from the animated film, The Lion King. Electric Avenue is a fun song I hope he works it; The Elton John requires some intensity though. Let’s anticipate a good kill.

Arewa will be rocking on a Majek Fashek song and Climb every mountain by Julie Andrews from the Classic movie, The Sound of music. Details of the reggae track were not given, the showcase song requires skill, thankfully she’s capable.

Ada’s songs are Let it go by Demi Lovato, from the animated movie Frozen and Raski mono’s What a gwan; both are interesting, different & equally tasking songs.

Jeff songs are Everything I do, I do it for you by Bryan Adams from the movie, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Murder she wrote by Chakademus. To slay or not? I anticipate the experience.

Pearl has two big songs this week, Bound to you by Christina Aguilera from the movie, Burlesque and Trench Town Rock, by Marley. I’ve seen some practice clips, she working hard; .

Kumi is working with It must’ve been love by Rosette from the movie Pretty Woman and Lucky Dube’s, Back to my roots.

Anderson will be doing Eye of the tiger by Surviver from the movie, Rocky and It wasn’t me by Shaggy. .

Finally, we get to the 7 Tag Teams. I would call it a sing-off but the instructor, Ben Ogbeiwi shoved the idea aside referring to it as more of a collaboration and hammering on the need to feel unity in these performances.

Ada, Kumi & Jeff  would do, That’s what friends are for by Stevie Wonder & friends.

The soundtrack for Fast & Furious 7, See you again by Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth will be performed by Anderson & Deinde. Hopefully they come out of this as stars.

Pearl & Arewa got the song Waiting to Exhale by Whitney Houston and Cece Winans. Now, the last time we heard a Whitney song on the Project Fame stage, it was not great. I just hope they get it right this time.

One of these teams would be disrupted though. Because, one green mind must leave. Follow your favourite contestant on twitter by clicking on their names in this post.
